SALGIX®

An operating system designed and built to fully take advantage of GMSI's unique line of powerful workstations, Salgix is a world class operating system that supports the industries that rely upon visual computing for their core needs. Built on a solid UNIX-like platform of GNU userland tools and the award winning Linux kernel, Salgix is able to replace and enhance your existing Visual Computing infrastructure. Salgix has many functionalities built in that are not present in other Unix solutions such as integrated Inventor API support, native OpenGL 3.0, MatLab integration, Salgix-BSD-Unix application emulation layers, and more. Salgix is the operating system built with speed and power in mind.

Salgix Developers Release 7 will be available in December of 2008. New features are to include GMSI Prism software integration, brand new OpenGL 3.0 functionality and including fixes for several bugs found throughout the Developers Release series.
